Building Your Own Solar Panels and/or Wind Turbine

I'm always looking for ways to save money, but as importantly different ways to conserve energy.

Well, I've found something that is the best of both worlds. It will help you to save lots of money. Over the course of many years, the only limit to what you can save is how much your monthly electric bill is.

The information that I ran across shows, in great detail, with videos and everything, how to build your own solar panels or a wind turbine. It's pretty amazing actually. I've priced nearly every possible alternative energy source out there, and there's none that are cheap.

Believe it or not you can build a single solar panel or wind turbine for less than $200. A single solar panel won't allow you to live off the grid or anything, but it's a start. The reason I really like this method, besides the price, is it's really easy to start a basic alternative energy system with just one solar panel, or a wind turbine, and then add on as you can afford to.

Both can be build with basic hand tools and commonly available parts. The most technical part of the building is basic soldering, and if you've ever soldered, you know that it's a piece of cake.

I just can't believe this information hasn't been spread around for years. I would have been building solar panels long ago, and I wouldn't be paying an electric bill by now. I can promise you this...here in about a year or so, I will have a wind turbine, plus 6 or 8 solar panels, and I won't be paying the utility company for my electricity.

Here's the information on building your own solar panels and/or wind turbine. Check it out. There's lots of information that you can look over on the site.

We Need Clean, Renewable Energy

I heard something a few days ago that was almost unbelievable. Had it not come from the mouth of a political, it would have been much more shocking.

The man was speaking on global warming, imported oil and other things pertaining to energy. What was so misleading was the fact that the guy said we need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and move to other 'clean' forms of producing energy such as NUCLEAR!!

Now, I'm not really an expert on anything, but I'm pretty sure that in the big picture producing energy using nuclear methods is going to prove a big mistake. I recently saw a news story on the waste being generated by all of the nuclear power plants. The amounts we have on hand now is staggering. Stored virtually all over the country.

Obviously, at some point this waste has to be dealt with. The big plan now on the table is to dig a big hole and bury it. Out of site, out of mind, right ? As most people know, the waste remains radioactive and deadly for tens of thousands of years.

Also, using todays numbers, the cost of disposing of the waste in a big hole is going to cost 60 billion dollars. Of course I'm sure that by the time we get around to actually doing it, the costs will be much more.

We've just got a new president elected as of this writing (Obama). I sure hope some more forward thinking individuals start making some ideas soon...very soon!!

Welcome to My New Blog on Solar and Wind Energy

Hi,

Welcome to my new blog about alternative energy. It's something I believe i very strongly, and a topic that I believe needs to be promoted as much as possible.

Global warming is, or at least should be a warning for us, an indicator that we need to act now and start taking the steps necessary to begin to turn things around and save this planet before it's too late.

I know it's easy to live life as you always have, taking much for granted. However, things have changed. We don't live under the same terms as we have since the dawn of man. Our ignorance (not stupidity) of what we were doing to our global ecosystem has finally caught up with us.

The question now is this - are we going to do the things that we need to, or will we ignore the obvious and keep going as we always have until we make the planet virtually uninhabitable ?

Now is the time to act. Please, do your part to help. If we all just take a few smart measures daily, that will be enough to begin to reverse the damage that we've done, or at least slow any further damage.

We owe it to ourselves, but we owe it even more to our children and the generations yet to come. They didn't cause this problem, why burden them with it ?

The Time is Now for Solar and Wind Energy

Obviously solar and wind power has been around for some time now. Until recent years though it was ever developed as it probably should have been. Had we looked ahead and seen the obvious, I believe we could presently been generating most, if not all of our electrical power from these renewable, clean sources.

At least now, I believe, most realize it's a matter of our very survival that we forge ahead and start to use this energy as our primary power sources, instead of just a few 'tree-huggers' doing the responsible thing.

With the cost of a professional installation of a solar or wind turbine system beyond most, I believe if they knew that they could build their own systems for a small fraction of the commercial alternatives, most wouldn't hesitate join the move to alternative energy.

For a relatively small investment, most households could totally eliminate their monthly electric bill. With the state of the economy presently, this would make a huge difference for lower to middle class individuals.
